Gasjer enjoys of a huge boost for the title

Tim Gajser got the win this weekend in Winchester. The Slovenian rider took advantage of the absence of Romain Febvre after he suffered a fall on Saturday to enjoy of a huge boost of 50 points in the overall standings. Gajser, who was already leader and enjoyed a cushion of 24 points, extends the distance to 74 units. The danger for Febvre now is Cairoli, which is now just 3 points behind.

Gajser took a giant step towards his title aspirations in the MXGP after winning in England in a career in which Febvre did not participate. The best thing for the French was that he did not lose the second place, as Cairoli could only be sixth and stayed only 3 units behind him in the standings. In the race, Nagl was the one who sneaked into the second position after making a great career and Paulin was third, signing his second podium this season and showing that he is fully recovered from the accident he had in France just under a month ago.

Regarding Jezyk Racing Team pilots, they had a difficult weekend. Eric Leijtens was 16th in the 250 category, while Álex Santín (125 category) got the 31st position, just like in France.
