Max Nagl joins the battle

Max Nagl was the star of the test in the Czech Republic. The German driver took the double victory of the weekend and hauled himself to third place in the championship, ahead of Romain Febvre, who was returning after injury and regained good vibes. Tim Gajser signed a creditable second place, wich increases his lead in the overall standings, and is one step closer to the title.

Nagl was the man of the weekend. If we believed that that role was reserved for Febvre after returning from his injury, the German stole the main focus taking his first victory in a Grand Prix this season. Nagl was very safe during the weekend and won both tests, despite the insistence of Tim Gajser, who had to settle for a second place that gives even more advantage in the overall standings. The young Australian is going through a tremendous level and despite this perfect weekend for Nagl, he was confirmed again as a reliable and regular pilot.

The scenario was different for Romain Febvre. He was returning after his injury and the goal was to regain good feelings. Things went well, as he signed a quite satisfactory third place despite being in a significantly lower competitive pace compared to other drivers. The problem for the reigning world champion is that two of its rivals, Nagl and Gajser, finished ahead of him. In the case of German it is not serious, since it is only 3 points above, but with the leader of the World Championship the difference is already of 128 units, a difficult distance to manage.

Meanwhile, the Spaniards Jezyk Racing Team pilots did not much varied his usual results. Eric Leijtens finished seventeenth in EMX250 and Alex Santin was twenty-ninth in EMX125. The competition does not stop. Next, week motocross will travel to Belgium, the penultimate test before a short but deserved vacation.
