Toni Bou, one step away from the title

New weekend in the trial and final results with no surprises. Toni Bou was superb again winning both tests GP of England and is about to get his 20th world title (10th in outdoor). Meanwhile, Jack Price was proclaimed the champion in Trial2 despite finishing second in the second race. Therefore, after the victory of Price this weekend and Jack Peace in Trial125 in the previous test, there is only one champion to be known -in the class category-, which we can easily intuit.

Again, Toni Bou was imperial in England. It is one of his favorite GPs; he does hardly fails there and this time was no change of script. He won clearly and he is only one step away from being champion. Although it will have to be in September, the Honda Montesa rider goes on vacation after having done almost all the work. Only Adam Raga can snatch him the honey of glory, as the Ulldecona pilot mathematically assured the second place in the overall this weekend, but it does not seem feasible to see him with the crown of champion this season.

In Trial2, Jack Price was crowned king at home, where Dan Peace won the second test. But he did not care: Price was champion from the previous day and on Sunday it was a full day of celebration for him.

In Trial125 there was almost no emotion, as Jack Peace had won in Belgium and had secured the title mathematically. In any case, the world champion won again in England and could celebrate with his countrymen his new crown. Good year for the British, with two champions out in three of the categories.

In addition, this weekend also started the Women’s World Cup. And everything was as expected: Emma Bristow took her first (and certainly not the last) double victory of the season in his homeland, while Cook was second. One of the surprises was to see how Berta Abellán getting a podium in second place that gives her that third drawer also in overall standings. Sandra Gómez, who had signed the third place in the first race, fell from the noble positions in the second. However, it is only the first chapter of a thrilling championship.
